| Examination are taken and administered
in a variety of ways. They can be administered in the institute
in conventional manner for which the students of distance learning
mode will have to come to the institute and write their exams.

But for the
benefit of the students the examinations can be administered
“online”. Students of distance learning mode can
take “online” examination anywhere in the world
using a computer with Internet access. |

| Effective use of online
examination method can help distance learning mode students
in numerous ways : |

- Cost: It is in the interest of distance learning mode
students so as to save upon traveling cost, time & energy.
- Easy to use: Easy to use and students may give the exam
from anywhere in the world using a computer with an internet
facility. (They can appear in the exam even from a cyber
cafe)
- Question: Questions are convenient to answer for the students,
as they are in Objective/ Multiple choice form.
- Result : The examinee can know the result as soon as he
completes the exam.

| Instructions for appearing
in the online examination |

- You are advised to contact the institute before taking
an online examination.
- To access the online exam you require a USER NAME
and PASSWORD, Which will be assigned to
you by the institute on submission of your examination
form and the examination fee as instructed by the institute.
- The user name & password will allow you to access
the examination on the days allotted to you.
- Click on the link “FINAL EXAMIANTION” at the
bottom of this page
- A window will open asking for “USER NAME”
and “PASSWORD”. Type your “USER NAME”
and your “PASSWORD” provided by the institute.
Then click on “login” button or press “Enter”.
- Next window will display “exams assigned”
to you. Scroll down “Select Exam” and choose
the subject of examination. Then click on the button “Go
to exam”.
- Next window will come with a heading “Exam”.
Read the instructions carefully and click on “Yes
I have read the instruction”. Then click on the “Start”
button.
- On the next window, your count down time will be displayed
immediately on the right-hand corner.
- Below this time displayed, your question can be seen with
4-5 options for answer or with true or false option.
- On the right-hand side immediately below the questions
numbers 1 to 50 are displayed which are arranged in squares.
- Below this there are two buttons – “Attempt
later” & “Submit Answer”.
- Choose the right answer by clicking on the option &
click again on “Submit Answer”.
- If you choose to attempt later then click on “Attempt
Later” button.
- The attempted question numbers will be displayed in Red
while those not attempted will be highlighted in Blue.
- Your un-attempted question numbers will be displayed if
you have chosen to attempt later; click on the same to attempt
the un-attempted questions.
- Once you are through click on “Finish” button.
- If you have not attempted any of the questions they will
be displayed to you. To attempt the questions click on question
numbers.
- You cannot change or modify the answers to the questions
you have attempted once. So be very careful before answering
a question. Please do not use the back button on your browser
during the test , since you cannot change your responses
once you have submitted them.
- On you have attempted all the questions “FINISH
EXAM” and LOGOUT of the exam.
- Result will be sent to as soon as you complete all your
exams.
